Welcome to my website. This is the living place of my blog, where you can discover how to work with me, and find other resources that pertain to health, movement and overall wellness.

More about me

I currently live in Seattle, Washington with my boyfriend Cody, our pup Baxter and our rabbit, Pepper. During the week you can either catch me teaching a butt-kicking Lagree fitness class, working out, cooking, writing for my blog, out at a concert, or with friends. My own current health and fitness goals include running a full marathon, and increasing my flexibility. 

How I became a health coach 

My fitness journey began at a very young age. I started playing soccer at 7 years old, and added in basketball, volleyball and track by the time I was 10. I was the most passionate about volleyball and played the sport year-round from 12-18, sometimes on three different teams. After experiencing several injuries on the court including a rotator cuff injury and two ankle fractures I became a regular at the physical therapy clinic. I fell in love with the method of improving strength and flexibility as a way to heal and recover. I got interested in yoga and started practicing regularly at 16 years old to enhance my recovery and fell in love with it. The mental and physical benefits of my practice were absolutely undeniable. My love for yoga led me to take a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program during my senior year in college. A year later I took an additional certification in a strength-based training method called Lagree Fitness and have been teaching since. Between yoga and strength training I found my ideal balance in the way I moved my body, but what I started noticing in my clients was something that led me to tie my fitness background with nutritional studies together. I studied to be a health coach because I knew that ‘getting healthy’ was way more than just showing up for a workout class or hitting the gym twice a week. I wanted to help my clients achieve their health goals step into their best lives. Since then I have shifted my focus on specifically helping millennial women.
