welcome to my site,
the place where I share my passion for health and wellness. You can find a lot here including my blog where I write for millennial women to share inspiring and informational content around fitness, health and nutrition, travel, and other life happenings.
More about me
I currently live in Seattle, Washington with my boyfriend Cody, our two Puggles Barley and Baxter and a our rabbit, Pepper. During the week you can either catch me teaching a butt-kicking Lagree fitness class, working out, cooking, writing for my blog, out at a concert, or with friends. My own current health and fitness goals include running a full marathon (I've done a few half-marathons), and increasing my flexibility.
My coaching is rooted in the belief that every body is different and every person has varied physical strengths and challenges. My goal as a health coach is to help everyone adopt healthful, long-term, sustainable behaviors that can truly change their lives. My approach is to show clients the whole picture of their health that includes nutrition, physical fitness, daily habits and even their daily thoughts. I believe improving overall health and wellness requires modification and refinement in each area to create meaningful and lasting change, where new healthy habits cultivate a healthier, happier, fuller and more energetic life.
I most enjoy working with women in their twenties and early thirties so that they can feel empowered from early adulthood to their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond. I’ve been through a lot of the ups and downs experienced during this time and have gone from an active to passive and finally back to an active agent in my personal health. From college living, to filling your own fridge, first career jobs, evolving family and romantic relationships, and balancing a social life, I feel like there is a lot of confusion as to how to balance it all while taking an active role in our health and staying in good relationship with our bodies.
how I became a health coach
My fitness journey began at a young age as a student athlete, competing in every sport possible. After several injuries, I started practicing yoga as a supplement to physical therapy. The mental and physical benefits of the practice were undeniable. My love for yoga led me to a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program. A few years later I trained as a Lagree Fitness instructor, where I now teach several group classes a week. My true passion is helping people, especially young women, achieve total health, which led me into nutrition, behavioral studies and the completion my Health Coach certification.
